The moulded nylon tooth body runs more quietly than steel. A square steel core supports the working load. Standard and heavy body sizes are available with integral mounting lugs.

Installation Points

Make sure the gate rolls freely before fitting the rack. The rack must not carry the gate weight.

Set the pinion parallel to the rack and leave a small working clearance; do not mesh the teeth with zero backlash.

Align every rack joint before tightening the fasteners so the pinion crosses the seam smoothly.

Move the gate through its full travel by hand, then test it slowly under power.

The pinion should cross each joint without climbing or binding.

Important. Final selection depends on gate weight, travel, opener rating and duty cycle. Gate stops, photocells, safety edges and limit controls remain separate requirements.
