Damage form of timing belt

1. Insufficient tension:

If the tension is not enough, then the friction force will be insufficient, and then the slip will occur, which will increase the wear of the synchronous belt, make other people lose the ability to transmit loads, and make the belt transmission lose its efficiency due to the instability of transmission.

2. Too much tension:

The tension that the synchronous belt bears is too large and the deformation is serious, which will reduce the service life of the synchronous belt.

3. Sundries left on the timing belt:

If there is grease and other dirt on the synchronous belt, because the dirt contains chemical substances, it can enter the synchronous belt and destroy its material structure.

4. The timing pulley is not aligned:

If the timing pulley is not aligned, the timing belt will slip, twist, and heat and wear inside. Therefore, the timing pulley must be aligned.

5. Length of timing belt is not equal:

If the length of a row of belts is not equal, the tension that each synchronous belt bears will be different. Some of them will slip or have too much tension, which will wear the synchronous belt. Therefore, the synchronous belt with the same model must be used.

6. If the synchronous belt does not operate for a long time, it needs to be removed, otherwise the service life of the synchronous belt will be reduced and the synchronous belt will be deformed.

7. If the timing belt is placed for too long, it will cause the rubber to age and thus reduce its service life.

8. If there is dust, acid and alkali gas or other gas that will damage the synchronous belt in the environment of the application site, it will also shorten the service life of the synchronous belt.

9. The vibration amplitude is too large:

If the synchronous belt twitches rapidly due to the vibration of the machine, the synchronous belt will be returned seriously, thus reducing the service life.

10. Startup overload:

When the synchronous belt runs under overload, it will generate too much tension, which will cause the synchronous belt to be damaged due to sliding.

11. The groove of the timing pulley is worn:

The timing pulley has been used for too long, the wear of the groove edge is increased, and the angle is incorrect, so the timing belt will touch the bottom of the groove. In order to drive the machine, the tension must be increased, causing damage to the V-belt.
