Development background of synchronous belt

Synchronous belt drive has been studied and patented many times as early as 1900, but its practicality was after World War II. Since synchronous belt is a transmission part with the advantages of chain, gear and V-belt, it has been paid attention to with the development of industry after World War II, and was first developed by Unirayal Rubber Company in 1940. In 1946, Singa Company applied synchronous belt to the synchronous transmission of sewing machine needle and bobbin, which achieved remarkable benefits and was gradually introduced to other mechanical transmission. The development and application of synchronous belt drive has only been more than a hundred years, but it has made rapid progress in all aspects.
