For example, the Gregorian calendar year 2024 is a leap year, with 29 days in February and 366 days in the whole year; the lunar calendar year of Guimao (2023) is a leap year, with a small leap February, which only has Qingming Festival, no Zhongqi, and 13 months in the whole year. The Islamic calendar year 1428 (Gregorian calendar 2007-2008) has 366 days in the whole year and is a leap year.
Years with leap days (February 29) in the Gregorian calendar and leap months in the lunar and solar calendars.
The rules for the Gregorian calendar since 1582:
Ordinary leap year: A Gregorian calendar year that is a multiple of 4 but not a multiple of 100 is a leap year (e.g. 2004, 2020, etc. are leap years).
Century leap year: A Gregorian calendar year that is a multiple of 100 must be a multiple of 400 to be a leap year (e.g. 1900 is not a leap year, but 2000 is a leap year).
The convention before 1582: A leap year every four years; if A (a positive number) in A.D. is divisible by 4, then it is a leap year; if B (a positive number) in B.C. is divided by 4 with a remainder of 1, then it is also a leap year.
