The Surface Treatment Of The Sprocket

The surface treatment of the sprocket is to improve the surface state of the material. Generally, there are blackening treatment (surface oxidation), solid lubrication treatment, galvanizing, phosphating treatment, chemical silver plating and RAYDENT surface treatment, etc. Their respective The descriptions of the features are as follows, for reference only.

1. Blackening treatment (surface oxidation):

Alkaline blackening treatment: After the metal is placed in an alkaline treatment solution and heated to 14CTC, the metal itself plays a chemical role and forms a black film on its surface. The thickness of the black film is below, and the chemical composition is ferric oxide. The film has an anti-rust effect.

2. Solid lubrication treatment:

Simply spray the solid lubricant onto the tooth surface of the wheel, and the lubricant adhering to the surface dries to form a film. The aluminum disulfide particles contained in the lubricant composition penetrate into the metal structure to lubricate. Especially for the initial run-in of the wheel or to prevent fretting corrosion caused by tiny frictional actions to exert its lubricating effect. It is generally used where lubricating grease cannot be used.

3. Galvanizing:

Surface treatment for the purpose of improving the rust resistance of metals. With the progress of salt passivation treatment, the appearance performance has also been greatly improved. The thickness of the coating varies, generally around 225 μm.

4. Phosphating treatment:

For phosphate treatment: immerse the metal in a heated phosphate solution for chemical treatment to form a phosphate protective film on the metal surface. The phosphating film of the  series has good rust resistance, high wear resistance and lubricating effect at the same time, so it is mostly used in the treatment of sliding parts. PARUHOSU M (Ethium Phosphate Synthetic Treatment Fluid) Ethium-based phosphating treatment fluid. The film thickness after treatment was about 315 μm.

5. Electroless silver plating:

Electroless plating has high corrosion resistance/wear resistance, and there is no electricity and no electrolysis during the silver plating process. It is suitable for use on products with high dimensional accuracy and complex shapes. Coating thickness is uniform (3~10μm).

6. RAYDENT surface treatment:

RAYDENT treatment is to use a method similar to electroplating to form a 1~2μm thick black oxide film on the surface of the base material, because the film and the metal T are not easy to peel off. Strong rust resistance/improved wear resistance, black color.

Note:

1. Affected by the shape and size, the film may not be uniformly formed on the root of the tooth or inside the hole.

2. Where RoHS is required, it must be clearly specified that the treatment to remove hexavalent chromium is required.
